Working Group on global surveys of the discipline

RC33 members are invited to join its new working group on developing global surveys on the state of political science.

Mission
- collect consistent global data on the current opportunities, challenges and institutional developments within political science and related (sub)disciplines;
Expected outcomes
- periodic global surveys;
- database of political science departments and related institutions around the world;
- series of online and on site events dedicated to the topic;
- publications on the topic, with volumes published within the RC33 book series;
Preliminary results of the first survey(s) will be presented at the 2027 IPSA World Congress and the results will be published in the RC33 book series.
The 2026 discussions for the development of the global surveys are scheduled for
- April (online launch)
- June (online working session)
- September (hybrid working session hosted at the University of Bucharest, Romania, on the sidelines of the 10th international interdisciplinary conference of political research SCOPE: Science of Politics)
- December (online working session)
